Karen I. Hirsch Shows Montages from Botanic Photographic Series

CHICAGO: Karen I. Hirsch is currently showing a selection from her series of botanic montage photographs at Gallery 1070 - Edgewater Artists in Motion at 1070 W. Granville in Chicago. These photos are included in a group exhibition, Photography and Sculpture Show from participating artists in Chicago.

This exhibit is open for viewings Thursday through Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM until July 28th. There will be a pre-closing reception on July 25th from 6:00-8:00 PM.

About Gallery 1070
Gallery 1070 is meant to bring the whole community together through the arts.  It includes fine art, contemporary art, and all kinds of American art forms from emerging and established artists.

About Karen I. Hirsch
Karen I. Hirsch is an international award-winning visual artist based in Chicago. Her work has been published internationally in magazines, newspapers and books including Communication Arts and Graphis photo annuals.  She has received art grants from the City of Chicago and the Illinois Arts Council.

Hirsch's prints have been showcased at the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago, the Bridgeport Art Center in Chicago, the Martha Schneider Gallery in Chicago, the Center of Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO, the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art and at the Palm Beach Center for Photography, FL.

Recently interviewed on WMAQ-TV (NBC Chicago), Hirsch was also interviewed for Start TV, a national network affiliated with CBS.

Hirsch's work is found in corporate and private collections.
