Celebrated actors, Prarthana Behere, GayatriDatar, Rasika Sunil and Saorabh Choughule to star in Hungama Play’s upcomingMarathi show, Meter Down
India: Hungama Play’s upcoming Marathi original show, Meter Down will feature popular actors, Prarthana Behere, Gayatri Datar, Rasika Sunil and Saorabh Choughule in the lead. Other popular actors from the Marathi entertainment industry including Suyash Tilak, Parth Bhalerao, Madhuri Desai and Palak Gangele will join them as well. Meter Down is a comedy drama about relationships that blossomed digitally in the age of social distancing.
Renowned for her dazzling performances in Hindi and Marathi television and films like Bodyguard, Pavitra Rishta, Crime Patrol, Love Lagna Locha, Mitwaa, Coffee Ani Barach Kahi, Maskaa etc, Prarthana Behere said, “Meter Down weaves in elements of comedy and drama beautifully against a contemporary background. The characters we are playing in this story are extremely interesting, relatable and dealing with situations that will seem familiar to the audiences. It didn’t take me much time for me to say yes to the show and I am sure the audiences will appreciate it for its humour.”
Gayatri Datar, who is popular for her show ‘’Tula Pahatere” and now creating waves in the current season of Big Boss Marathi, said, “I am thrilled to be part of Meter Down. My character acts as the bridge among all the other character who find themselves tangled in modern day relationships. The idea behind this show is to depict situations from everyday life with a twist, Meter Down is sure to hit the right chord with viewers. I am very excited to be a part of this show.”
Rasika Sunil, who is known for her roles in movies such as Poshter Girl, Wild Geese, Girlfriend and shows like Majhya Navryachi Bakyo said, “Meter Down narrates a tale full of unexpected twists and turns with a heavy dose of humour. Add to that, it’s a show that not only explores relationships but also reflects our day-to-day lives. I play the role of Pranali, a struggling actress who has her fair share of difficulties while pursuing a career in acting. I hope the viewers enjoy watching the show and my character.”
