BLOOD DONATION CAMP! Amid rising cases of coronavirus across India

United No. 1, an initiative by N/W District General Secretary Sri Aarnavv Shirsat in the form of a WhatsApp group, along with Mumbai Congress, N/W District, Assembly 165 Andheri West, Honorable Mumbai Congress President Shri Bhai Jagtap, Ex-MLA Assembly Member, Shri Ashok Bhau Jadhav ji, Mumbai Congress in association with Tata Memorial Hospital organised a blood donation camp in these testing times with special permission from authorities amid a lockdown, as blood banks in the state are facing an acute shortage. 

In presence were Sanjay Nirupam, Aslam Shaikh, Monica Jagtap , Nitin Sawant ,Bhushan Patil, Charan Singh Sapra.

The equipment, furniture and other items were sanitised and at least 1 metre distance between two persons was maintained in the camp. 

“There is shortage of blood across the nation. Our mission to organise this camp is to collect as much blood as we can to donate it to people who need it. With this we want to motivate as many people as possible to donate blood for the sake of humanity” says N/W District General Secretary Sri Aarnavv Shirsat

Under the guidance of Bhai Jagtap, Aarnavv ensured a smooth supply of oxygen, hospital beds, ICU’s, masks and sanitisers via his initiative United No. 1- a WhatsApp group which caters to all the COVID related management. 

The group currently is helping individuals seek medical assistance like getting blood, plasma, info on hospital beds etc. The group’s networks are primarily scattered across India. 

“Whether it's offering information on the availability of beds, oxygen, plasma, food we are doing everything in our power to help people in need. We are also offering food to people who are affected by COVID. Our group isn’t location-specific -- anyone across the nation can seek help” says Aarnavv
