Bangalore girls win laurels in CBSE National Gymnastics Championship 2019

Bangalore girls from RnR fit Gymnastics Academy won laurels at Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)  National Gymnastics Championship held at Khel Gaon, Allahabad from 7th to 10th November 2019. RnR fit Gymnasts won 1 Gold medal and 3 Bronze medals at the recently concluded championships. A team of 7 female gymnasts and 1 Male gymnast represented their respective CBSC schools at the championship.

Gauri Shinde of Deen’s Academy won a Gold medal in Uneven Bars. She won a Bronze medal in the Individual All Around Artistic Championship U17 category. Tvisha Sridharan of DPS-Bangalore East won a Bronze medal in Uneven Bars in the girl's U14 category and finished a creditable 5th in the Individual All Around Artistic Championship. Shaivi Dave of New Horizon Gurukul, won a Bronze medal in Floor Exercise U11 girls category in her first competition at the national level. Sakshi Rathore came 6th in the U17 All Around Artistic Championship. She had just recovered from an injury. The other gymnasts who participated were Calvin Charles, Mrinalini Somanathan, Akshiti Rathore and Aanya Maria D’souza. All these young gymnasts have been training for more than 3 years at RnRFit under the watchful eyes of renowned coaches Mr. Kabir Mondal & Mr. Chandrasekhar. These young gymnasts put in an average of 12 to 16 hours of training each week.
