Artist Suing Smithsonian Portrait Gallery To Show The Refused Trump Portrait

MANHATTAN, N.Y.: "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly - Portraits of Our (Unindicted) Leader" Political Art Show at the Center For Contemporary Political Art in Washington D.C. Will Be Historic!

With the political 'free speech' federal lawsuit regarding the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery's refusal to show Artist Julian Raven's Trump portrait for the 2017 presidential inauguration, now into its third year and presently on appeal at the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, this upcoming and cutting edge political art show is about to open.

The location of the art show, literally a stone's throw away from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery will create incredible artistic tension and curiosity as a pro-Trump vs. anti-Trump art show all by itself.  The presence of the Trump portrait, the subject of the ongoing free speech lawsuit, going on display just down the street from the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery is enough to drive the interest through the roof!

The Center For Contemporary Political Art, the brainchild of global and national political art curator Charles Krause, author and witness as a reporter for the Washington Post, of the book 'Guyana Massacre' and also author of 12 investigative articles into the Smithsonian Institution's corruption back in 1977, is the host for this super-charged political art show.

The two anti-Trump Artists, Tim Atsef and Jim Boden will 'bob 'n' weave', jab and hook, as they present the 'bad and ugly' Trump with a torrent of anti-Trump paintings and prints without apology. Raven will counter punch with 'Unafraid And Unashamed' the huge pro-Trump portrait at the center of the Smithsonian free speech lawsuit. Will Raven's uppercut be the knock-out punch?

"The Rumble in the Jungle" in 1974 between Ali and Frazier drew millions of viewers and became legendary in the boxing world.  Will this political art contest in Washing D.C. become known as "The Stomp in the Swamp!" as the artists slug it out on the canvas?

Which Trump will prevail in the 'Stomp in the Swamp', The Good, the Bad or the Ugly Trump?

"The Good, The Bad and the Ugly - Portraits of Our (Unindicted) Leader" will open May 8th, 2019 at 6PM at 916 G Street NW, Washington D.C. 20001.
