Art talk by South Dakota Landscape Artist Jessie Rasche at JFAC Gallery on December 10th

ABERDEEN, S.D.: Landscape artist Jessie Rasche spent 2019 painting cows, horses, and birds on local farms. These paintings now make up an exhibition at JFAC Gallery in Aberdeen, SD titled "The Spirit of Prairie Life," which will be available to view through January 3, 2020.

A public reception will be held between 6 - 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 10th. The artist will be available to answer questions and tell stories about her paintings, and will give an artist talk at 6:30 p.m. The event is free, and everyone is welcome.

Rasche is an award winning, internationally-collected artist with a modern impressionist style. She expresses her love of the local land and animals with bold brush strokes and strong pallet knife marks.

"When you step close to one of [Rasche's] paintings, you can see deliberate strokes of color," wrote Jennifer Larue, Arts Reporter for the Spokesman Review. "And when you step back, the colors blend and become whole, encompassing the viewer with a moment of beauty."
