Most of us know the importance of adequate skin care habits, however for some or the other reason, we usually fail to follow them. Sometimes it is responsibilities, sometimes it is work and sometimes it is just the laziness!

For such circumstances, we bring to you the famous Korean skincare routine. It actually comprises of 10 steps, including day and night routines. But the fact is that not everybody has the time and passion to keep up and maintain it. Hence, we have jotted down the easiest, less expensive, less time consuming, highly effective, 5 steps Korean skincare routine for even the busiest and laziest.

1. Ice dip

You must start your morning beauty ritual by filling a bowl with ice and ice cold water, and tying back your hair and dunk your face in the water for 10 seconds, five times. Probably do it right after brushing. This ice cold facial is popular for beauty benefits. Ice facials are not only a great way to kick start your morning, as it fully wakes you but it also fully wakes your skin up by constricting the blood vessels of your face and increasing the blood circulation. 2. Toner

We often misunderstand toners as cleansing and most people don't know how to use it or if they should use it or. But Toner is an important step in a skincare routine. It is used to balance the skin's pH level. Toner is important to apply because otherwise, the skin can become dehydrated and dry. It further helps your skin to absorb the next skincare products you apply. Toner is applied before moisturizing and following your facial routine such as sheet masks. A toner helps to remove makeup correct, excess dirt, traces of oil and helps control acne. It helps balance the pH of your skin without damaging it. Use of Toners do not take more than 2 minutes and is recommended to use twice a day, once in the morning and once before sleep.

3. Cleansing

Regular skin cleansing habit is important to maintain healthy looking and feeling skin. Daily facial cleansing along with moisturizing is also important in helping the skin maintain a proper hydration level.  A dehydrated skin looks and feels wrinkled, rough, and aged. Regular cleansing helps manage PH level of the skin; enabling it to sufficient water and product retention. It is recommended to choose a cleanser depending on your skin type, whether it’s too oily or too dry. This can probably be done while taking a bath to save time. This skin care step does not require you to take out extra time or effort for face cleansing.

4. Sunscreen and Lotion

The key to successful skin protection is layers. Daily patting layers of lotion & sunscreen. Using the right kind of moisturizer and sunscreen for your skin can help maintain skin balance and help it from getting too dry too oily. Daily Moisturizing your skin can reduce the chances of any possible skin problems like acne. Use of sunscreen daily is more important than lotion because the sun is the number-one cause of UV rays that dries it, aging skin, break down collagen, and skin cancer. Not many know, but we are advised to wear sunscreen and lotion right after the bath. It is important and an easy skin care skin step since it doesn't take more than 30 seconds to do.

5. Sheet Masks

It’s no secret that sheet masks are trending on every beauty blog as an at-home facial. Sheet masks, in general, are a great way to provide your skin all supplements it needs for the well-being. Sheet masks essentially feed your skin an intense amount of active nourishing ingredients in a short period of time. The best thing about sheet masks is that not only are the masks drenched in a bottle of skin-treating serum, but the sheet mask itself is made of skin beneficial ingredients such as kiwi and aloe extract. It is recommended to apply sheet masks at least once a week, but as suggested by Korean beauty bloggers sheet masks are to be used every day as a night-time skincare routine. Sheet masks are one of the easiest habits to keep up.
